And it is here! I am so excited for a whole month full of Tricks & Treats for our Little Sweets. I am also SO proud to say that we do have some giveaways that will be happening, and we even have a contest! I saved the best of the goodies for the contest, fellow blogger Tina at Tina's Place has made some absolutely FANTASTIC Halloween Decorations for prizes! But, we will get to the giveaways and the contest in a second! Don't click on the next page, what are you doing?? Click the little button below to read the rest........You don't want to miss this!

So, here is what is happening this month! Every single day, I will be describing an activity or a craft to do with your family. There is even a GREAT activity we will be doing as a volunteer activity, that is so close to my heart. I will be DOING this activity with my family as well! October is a great month for kids. It is all about THEM (and we all know that kids think mainly about their needs, it is just nature!). So join me, please, and do these activities and crafts, or even something you think up all on your own~which I would LOVE to hear about!
There MAY ;) be more, but currently I am only announcing two today. One will be a regular giveaway, but the second is a little unique for my blog.
I am having a month long costume contest! No worries, it doesn't have to be taken on Halloween. Any time you feel like snapping your cutie in their sweet costume is fine! There will be a link to click to leave the picture in the comments by saving it as a html. You can even just put a link in the comments to your blog if you would prefer have people visit your blog to see the picture! (or if you need to, you can send to me and I will put it in the comments for you!)
IMPORTANT:Please only use the link that you find in the sidebar to post your links/pictures!! And make sure I can find a way to contact you!
The best part? YOU will be voting for the best costume contest. The only rules are, kids only and keep it family friendly please! I do reserve the right not to post any pictures I feel may be offensive or inappropriate for my family blog ;). Voting will last be for three days, starting on Halloween.
So the best part. The prizes! Second place prizes are still being finalized, but I will reveal the great prize that Tina was so awesome to make.
Is this not the coolest things ever??? And yes, she made them all herself! I also have a little goody bag of stuff for the kids who looked so stinking cute in the first place that will go along with this pumpkin. And yes, I am well-aware they have enough candy, there is none of that included, I promise!
However, I know that not all of you have little one's anymore, or some may not want the faces to be shown on the web. That is cool too. You still get a chance at this pumpkin!
How you may ask? This is going to be a month long giveaway! Here are the ways to enter!
- Visit Tina at Tina's place. Leave her a comment telling her you love her pumpkin or comment on whatever, and just leave a comment here letting me know where your comment is. Hmm. Sounds confusing but it is actually super easy.
- Follow Tina and leave me a comment tellling me you did so.
- And while we are at it, follow me and leave me a comment telling me you did so!
- Grab the Tricks and Treats for Little Sweets button and post it on your blog. Leave me a comment with your blog link so I can visit and share the love!
- Simple. Participate! Have some fun, do some activities or crafts. And just leave me a comment letting me know how it went!
- and of course, no contest would be complete without a trick-or-TWEET! Just follow me and then use the button at the top of this post to re-tweet. Once daily! Please leave the link in a comment (if you are as ditsy as me, just ask how. Thanks to Penny-Pinching Mama, I now know!)
And since is the first day, we have to get this party started right! Here is a very simple craft. Since today is the decorating day, let's add some personal touches with a little pumpkin. Just cut the shape of a pumpkin out of orange construction paper. Who cares if it isn't perfect. It is for the kids! Let the little pumpkin color the stem green while you cut out two triangles, one circle (or just use a pom pom), and whatever mouth the kids want! Let them have some fun with glue and VOILA, here is a window decoration. Make as many as you want. Here are the one's my little guy made.

And while you are decorating and crafting, why not sing a fun little Halloween ditty....
I'M A LITTLE PUMPKIN (the tune of I'm a Little Tea Pot)
I'm a little pumpkin orange and round (hold arms in a circle)
Here is my stem, (place fist on head)
I sit on the ground. (point down)
When I get all lit up (open palms on each side of face)
Don't you pout! (shake head and point finger)
Just smile, say trick-or-treat (smile big)
And stick your bag out! (hold hands out like holding the bag)
And thanks to my wonderful hubby for helping me come up with THAT one!
Only 30 Days Left to Halloween!!!
*All Contests and Giveaways for this event are for U.S. residents only. Unless otherwise stated, I have not received any compensation for these giveaways. Winners for giveaways will be determined by random.com. The costume contest winner will be determined by a tally of votes.*
