So, I am sure most of you have heard about that little boy who
Speaking of t.v. drama, have you seen Dr. Phil from the other day? The one about SAHM vs. working moms. That lady was crazy. I was surprised her husband let her put her shoes on and get out of the house for the afternoon. If she is that gung ho, made me wonder where her kids were that day. The things that make you go hmmmmmm.
Speaking of Dr.'s (hey, lookie there, worked twice, maybe I am not as random as I thought!) I need my own personal one. I have had a split lip for like a month now, and if I get one more behind-the-eyeball headaches, I think I am going to die. And yes, I have tried chapstick. My crazy husband went to Sam's and bought me like a bazillion. However my son somehow got it in his head that if he puts "papstick" on then he is a man. So he puts it all over. Then he looks at me and says "now I am a man and you are sir". Think we have him confused?
Ahh, three times is the charm....speaking of the little man. I am desperate. No, not the whole potty thing again. Now it is sibling rivalry. Well, not rivalry since baby girl isn't doing anything. More like sibling bullying. He is so stinking mean to her, it makes me wonder where I went wrong. I desperately want my kids to be super close, like Brenda and Brandon from 90210 (ugh, but if she were Brenda I may have to
Well, if you are still here, I guess I may as well throw in today's craft and head over to catch up on all of you. I think we will keep with the witches theme, since we did the hat yesterday. So today here is my paper plate witch.
Very simple.
Materials
- Paper plate (appetizer size)
- green paint
- Three yellow chenille stems
- black foam
- glue of your choice
- green foam
- yellow foam
- hole punch
- scissors
1. Put three hole punches on each side of the plate, directly across from one another, in the lip of the plate. Cut the rest of the lip of the plate off, as well as a straight line across the top. Okay, it is six in the morning and still dark out. See the picture to make sense of what I just said!
2. Cut a witches hat, two small circles for pupils, and mouth out of the black foam
3. Cut two ovals for white parts of eyes and a small half oval for a tooth out of the white foam.
4. Cut a round nose and to half circles for eyelids out of the green foam.
5. Cut a small rectangle out of any color of foam for witches hat.
6. Cut each chenille stem in half and curl around a pencil. Wind the top part of each piece through a whole.
7. Put all of the items where they go. If you are my son, this may mean that the nose goes in between the eyes.
8. You have yourself a witch!
Sorry about the glue under the hat, little man got a little glue happy.

13 of you are the "cool kids":
i'm so aggrivated over teh whole boy in teh bubble thing! i cna't even watch them do interviews on tv!
i always miss dr phil...maybe i can find that one on youtube or something!!
get your hiney to the dr, woman!! take care of yourself!
can't help you with the sibling thing. emily cna't stand david right now! its been going on since teh summer. i mostly blame teh special needs, and her not being able to tell us what's wrong/or making her upset. i have been doing my best to keep them apart because she gets so hysertical she can't function. i give him to her in small doses and she seems to be getting slightly better. maybe your son is just trying to play with her...although, he needs to find some nicer games!! or he's trying to establish his role as top dog! i don't know, just a thought!
hooray, another witch prject to do with emily this weekend! i should probably get my supplies together tonight!
Speaking of sibling rivalry (see it works in comments, too LOL) -- I don't think you're doing anything wrong -- I think it's just part of the whole sibling thing. My kids do their share of fighting, but they really adore each other and stick up for each other, too. (And when you're little one gets older, she'll get her revenge -- I have to admit that when my youngest started fighting back, or sometimes even initiating the fights, there was this tiny part of me that cheered him on even while I was sending him to time ou -- after all, he had gotten a lot from his sister by that time!
You description of his body slams made me chuckle and reminded me of one time when I sent my daughter to time out for throwing a lego at her brother. She indignantly asked why she was going to time out. When I replied "because you just hit your brother," she looked at me and in all seriousness said "I didn't hit him. The block hit him." -- The joys of parenthood -- LOL.
I love it. LOL I don't know why I am laughing but it is soooooooooooo cute!!
Happy Friday my SITS Sista!
I have no idea why a boy is in a bubble and I fear I don't want to know but I love the giveaway linkies!
Love the craft! :)
I thought that whole thing about the little boy and the balloon was crazy! I was so worried and couldn't help but be glued in front of the tv while they were searching for him. My boys were even worried about this child that they didn't know. We were relieved when we heard that he was safe and at home...crazy!
Love the Springsteen mention... he's my husband's fave :)
I must have been in a bubble yesterday... I gotta check out that story...lol... and I've got that episode of Dr Phil on my DVR... I just haven't watched it yet... now I gotta see it! I'm really nosy ;)
As for your lips... try putting vaseline on them before you go to bed. It works wonders! Just don't lick it... yuck!
Hope your lil man decides to be nicer to his lil sister soon.
Oh and I do have a lil one... I have a 4 year old... and two grand babies... and now the third one on the way. My older kids are 20,20 & 21.
A Lil Enchanted,
~LaShan~
That balloon boy thing is so strange. I had seen that Wife Swap and the family (as is most on that show) was a little crazy, so I guess I wouldn't put it past them. But who lets there kids hide in an attic? Strange. I wanted to watch that Dr. Phil but missed it. He's a little much for me these days, but that one did look good.
I hope you are feeling better soon and the sibling bullying stops. Sounds like a huge case of jealousy. I know they recommend spending one-on-one time with a kids when they are having problems with a younger sibling - like just take him out to McDonald's by himself, things like that. Maybe you've tried it though. Just thought I'd offer a suggestion.
The craft is too cute, by the way.
I think my two boys went through something like that. I hope it's just a phase and stops soon. Dakota picks on Brittany sometimes but more so invades her space and drives her nuts. LOL The witch craft today is cute!!
You have been given an award. Please stop by my blog to accept the award

I love your little witchy poo!
I saw that Dr Phil and I was floored!
Ok, that balloon thing was such a stunt and that guy is a jerk!
What a cute witch!
Hey Vicki,
So sorry that I haven't been around. I saw that you commented on a few of my posts. We don't have internet right now so when I do get to use the computer it's so slow. And everytime I open your blog it freezes. So I had to wait until today to get back to you.
I'm so mad about that little boy and the balloon thing to. I really thing the parents knew where he was to begin with.
I didn't see Dr. Phil. I'm going to have to go find it now on youtube and watch it.
