Thursday Frugal Fun Stuff & fun Trick or Treat Baskets!

My gosh. Maybe I need to start three different blogs. One for frugal, one for fun stuff, and one for writing. I feel like I just write write write all the time. I guess that is your heads up that the newest post may not necessarily be the ONLY new post :). So here is today's frugal fun stuff as well as tricks & treats!

To kick it off, I will start with today's Tricks & Treats. For the past two days, I have been transforming my kids treat pumpkins into costume accessories. Since my little man is a puppy and little lady is a kitty, I thought it fitting that he carry doggy treats and she has catnip (my mom already got them a bone and a cat rattle, too!) I would give you instructions on this craft, but really it is going to depend on what you are doing. I CAN give you another example, though. My friend's daughter is the Statue of Liberty, and she made her treat basket into the book that she carries (now there is some fun trivia, what IS that book? I guess I could google it.)

And now for the Thursday Frugal Fun Stuff!

Mark your calendars for Saturday! Barnes and Noble is having a free cookie and hot chocolate day for the little ones! You can get your coupon, along with other great coupons (like 30% of Halloween books) HERE!

I haven't used Disney Reward Points before, but I am starting now considering there are codes posted all over the internet. So, if you already have this, or if you want to start, here are some codes to get you going
  • Heart=50 points
  • Graveyards=40 points
  • Gobloon=30 points
  • Tina=20 points
  • Light=10 points
We all know how us proud mommy's can give out a bazillion and one pictures of our cute kids in their cute little costumes to family and friends. Well, this got easier thanks to Picture People who are now giving away a free Halloween wallet set. Check details HERE!

Apparently KFC is at it again, but this time they aren't going to use Oprah to promote their giveaway. (But hey, I am good enough, right? Right? RIGHT?)  So, I guess on Monday they are going to again try when more than 5,000 KFCs will give every U.S. customer a free piece of grilled chicken. Do you think my infant counts as a U.S. customer? That would give me 2 pieces of chicken. Or is that taking advantage? She can suck on a piece. That would make her happy. Oh yeah, and really, I may be trying them anyway since right now they have a 2 piece meal for only 3.99. that is awesome!

2 of you are the "cool kids":
