Congrats Storm! I will be contacting you shortly! I hope this makes up a little bit for your yucky Halloween!

October 30, 2009 7:17 PM I was super excited to get my first review and giveaway from My Blog Spark, and it couldn't have come at a better time! My son had a little bug, and the Dr. recommended giving him yogurt. Luckily, I had a little coupon just for this in my purse! So off to the store we headed for Yoplaits Kids!

I had only given my son yogurt once before, and he wasn't a huge fan. In all honesty, I wasn't a HUGE fan either. But, he needed it so hey, let us try again shall we? He chose the peach and strawberry banana, which I was honestly secretly happy about! When we got home, he refused to eat dinner. He refused to drink his pedialyte. He even refused a popsicle. So I offered him this, and he ate half of it. I asked him if he liked it, but at this point he would have told me that a chocolate candy bar dipped in his favorite peanut butter was gross. My husband and I split the other half, and I really enjoyed it. My husband said that it was pretty good, which is a high compliment from him for anything healthy.

So, we waited until the next afternoon. For lunch we gave him a choice of what he wanted to eat. I was kind of surprised when he chose the yogurt. At first he kind of just slopped it out onto his plate. When I say slopped, this is a good thing. Usually, my table is a mess because my son, like all toddlers, likes to see how fast food will fall of his spoon, or will motion to me with it while he is talking. The yogurt seems just a bit thicker so it doesn't just fall off. He was actually having to flick it, and by then I could catch what he was doing the little stinker! My husband, the eternal child, commented how it looked like the lost kids food-you know, the imaginary food in "Peter Pan"? Yep, that is my husband. Always a child, never a man lol! But anyway, little man loved it. He licked it off of his spoon like it was candy.

Just a little bit about Yoplait Kids for your Mommy-Curiosity. It comes both as yogurt (without clumps, which this mommy that has experienced chocking LOVES!), and as a little smoothie, in a small cup that is perfect for chubby little hands. The texture is "spoon-hugging" which helps with both teaching little ones to spoon-feed themselves as well as helps keep that inevitable meal mess at a minimum! It comes in yummy flavors like peach, strawberry, vanilla, strawberry banana, as well as mixed berry and combo packs. There are cute fun characters on the packaging, and the price is something that even us frugal moms will smile at!

Not only did I get to try (they are sneaky aren't they? Giving us a freebie knowing we will fall in love with it and add it to our shopping lists?), but I also got a fun little Yoplait less sugar, more fun prize pack! It came with this fancy little insulated bag that will let me take my new favorite yogurt on our playdates, a little fuzzy twirly puzzle that even keeps that hubby busy playing with my son, a fun little placemat with games that can be used over and over with dry erase markers, and two fun spoons that change colors when they get warm!
