Number 64??? What in the world??? How do I even vote?? See...too spazzy even to do something simple like vote!

See, it does a body good to vote and enter contests! I will be emailing you shortly, and for everyone, don't forget these are at a great price, and they WORK!

Why is it that bad habits are SO easy to acquire, but good habits are near impossible? I know there are about a bazillion things that will directly benefit me if I start drinking more water, but for some reason no matter what I do, I can't seem to drink my eight glasses. Believe it or not, I even made myself a little chart similar to my son's potty training chart. Didn't work. So, I was happy to find Habitwise. Though skeptical, I figured it couldn't hurt, right?

When I first visited Habitwise.com, I was surprised to learn that each of the habit plans that are included in the packet is developed by a team from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. It wasn't just someone selling a cute product from their home that didn't have any experience. I will admit, I still doubted it could get stubborn old me to drink my water. I already KNOW how much I am supposed to drink after all. I just don't seem to do it.

When I got my Habitwise getwet bracelets, I was actually kind of surprised. I knew from the website that they weren't ugly, but I thought they would be kind of plain. The shade of blue is so pretty and sparkly and feminine that I really enjoyed wearing them. They seemed more a part of my outfit then they did something I was using to start a habit!

I was curious to see how much I actually drank since I am one of those people that will dump my water the second it gets warm. But I drink it so slowly, it doesn't stay cold for the whole glass. So the first three days, I just put on four bracelets, thinking I would move one for each glass of water I drank. I was surprised to learn at the end of the three days that only one day did I need to move even ONE bracelet! I thought I was drinking water, but apparently I was just wasting water, filling up glasses and dumping them out.So, on the fourth day, I tried it for real!

The directions state to put one bracelet on for each of the 8 glasses that are recommended each day. However, you can also put on twelve if you are going to include water in the foods that you eat. I am not the healthiest of eaters, plus I am trying to lose weight. So, I put on all 12 bracelets with the intent of trying to drink all 12 glasses. You put all of the bracelets on one arm, and as you finish a glass of water, you transfer a bracelet to the other arm.

It wasn't super easy. The bracelets don't get up and go grab me a glass of cold water and then put it up to my mouth, after all! At the end of the first day, I looked down and noticed I had only moved two bracelets. The next day I did slightly better with three. It amazed me how something that sounds so simple is actually hard! I finally worked myself up to all 12 bracelets for three days and then eased back to the 8 glasses (heck, this is hard enough!). I had been doing well for awhile, so I took most of them off (I actually kept one on, for two reasons. One, I like the bracelet, and also as a reminder)And really, I am going to be putting them back on because I have already slipped back to barely drinking any water! Once you get used to those bracelets and what they stand for, they really do serve as a great habit-starter! I really think I just didn't give myself long enough. Silly old me thinks that two days=success. HA! Took me a month to go down from four soda's a day to three! Speaking of which, that is another benefit. I drink less soda, because I always have a water in front of me. I eat less, because I am full more often. Hmmm. maybe this healthy thing isn't so bad after all?

Habitwise.com has many different great products, and for every member of the family! There are little chips that men use to switch from one pocket to another, and fun little plastic bracelets for kids! In addition to getwet, they also have getloss for both women and men-a fantastic way to meet those goals necessary to lose that stubborn weight! You can track calories, goals, food groups-you choose and customize! The other plan is gettracking for kids. Different color bracelets to track food groups, activities, or snacks. Quite frankly, I don't know why it would have to stop there! One color can be chores, one can be prayers, one can be homework. For those forgetful ones it may help a great deal!

Okay, in reality, I would have beads draped on my from head to toe with these programs because I need them all! Now THAT would be funny! I think my first choice would have to be Get Loss for Women. I was a little bummed that the Get Fit one wasn't available yet, but choice number one is definitely the Loss one followed by the Wet one - I don't drink enough water either.

...and I already follow you.

I don't tweet. I'm too spazzy to figure that all out. Sorry.

(not my entry, but I totally giggled at the "get wet" name of the water habit. I was thinking WHOA, I don't need to make THAT a habit, it's bad enough as it is...tmi?)

ok, so, I'd totally love the fitness one, i need to work out more often...and be reminded of it...quite putting it off or making excuses to NOT exercise...

so that's the one I'd love to try out!
