Holiday Gift Guide-Bob the Builder Holiday Collection Review & Giveaway!

Once my son decides he likes something, he could very well be stuck on that for....well forever it seems. I have been watching Mickey Mouse and Handy Manny five years. So, I was very happy to introduce him to a new character that I thought he may like. And I was pleasantly surprised that he REALLY enjoyed the Building Crew Holiday Collection. In fact, the second the first DVD was finished, he was asking for the next. It seemed only one of the DVD's.....

truly dealt with Christmas. One had episodes centering around winter activities, and the third was all about digging for treasure. Almost an odd mix to add to the other two, but just means that there is a little variety and something more he can watch all year round!

I wanted to make sure that he didn't confuse Handy Manny and Bob the Builder, so I tried to emphasize that this was Bob not Handy Manny, but it turns out I didn't need to. The two handy men are significantly different. One uses bigger machines-like snow blowers and diggers, while the other uses hand held tools. Bob's friends all talk, and the characters are fun and my son was entranced the second he started watching. He asked some questions about what each thing was and what it did, but only on the second DVD, the first he was too interested.

My ten year old son was a HUGE fan of the "YES we can!" crew years ago, and I was glad to see that I could add another parent-approved character for my son.

The Building Crew Holiday Collection includes 3 DVD's.

• Bob’s White Christmas –In the first episode that shares the DVD's name, Bob the Builder and his friends help dig out Farmer Pickles from a snow in, have a fun snowball fight, and then they join together to open presents under the Christmas tree they lovingly put up together. In the second episode, "The Big Freeze", Dizzy takes a short-cut and ends up in a very cold adventure! In the final episode "Bob of the North," a fun friend comes to visit and introduces the fun of skiing. 
• Snowed Under – As the Bobblesberg Winter Games approaches, Builder Bob and his buddies prove that "YES they can!" get the job of finishing setting up before the opening ceremonies start.
• Digging for Treasure – Bob the Builder is back at working hard with “Digging for Treasure” which again has three fun episodes: Scoop’s Stegosaurus, Scruffy the Detective, Bob’s Metal Detector. Become enthralled in the excitement and mystery as the team searches for the hidden treasures.
