As much as I would like to say my kids NEVER watch t.v., this just isn't true. My little guy loves his Mickey Mouse as much as I love my Grey's Anatomy, and his Thomas the Tank Engine rivals my Private Practice. But I do like to keep it educational and clean. Double points for any kid friendly movie that comes with a toy! Especially a toy my son has been wanting and not some cheap kid-meal type toy! This is the first of......

the REALLY fun Holiday's with my son. He is just starting to get it. He now knows who Santa Clause is, he is starting to understand he is bringing him presents, but I want him to understand more than just that, which is why I am enjoying these kids holiday movies!

In my last Thomas review, I mentioned how my husband was disappointed that it went to more animation. However, the Holiday Express DVD brought back some more vintage animation with it-where the eyes just kind of roll around a motionless face. They aren't new episodes, they are six old Thomas episodes that are each 8 minutes long. I actually really like this about the DVD. I can put it in for two episodes while I run the vacuum, and then it is over, and I don't have to hear my son screaming "Don't change the channel! It wasn't over yet!"

The six episodes definitely inspired some Christmas spirit and warmth from the snow. My son asked lots of questions about Christmas and snow and this that or the other. You can always count on Thomas to teach life lessons such as discovery, friendship and cooperation, sharing, patience, and understanding.

And the best part is, it comes with it's own little Thomas wearing a Santa hat! Perfect gift for those Thomas lovers!
