Monday's frugal fun stuff!

I have some frugal fun stuff for you, but first, a couple of little things.

As I sit here typing this, I am barely keeping my eyes open. I would go to bed, but that really isn't an option at the moment. Another pot of coffee is, wish I already had THIS freebie for a sample of Folgers Gourmet. Mmmm Coffee.

So, I had an unfortunate experience with my scale. No, I didn't throw it out the window. I almost did, though, after I stood on the freaking thing AND IT BROKE!!!! That was in no way shape or form funny. Nope, not at all. Well, maybe to my husband who laughed and my son who kept repeating "did you break it mommy, did you break it mommy?" I will be printing up a bazillion and one of these coupons for Zero Calorie Steaz. Or maybe I should go into hiding.











Home Depot is having a pretty good deal if you have any broken or used Christmas lights you want to get rid of (although, if you already know if you do or don't, I have to say that IT IS BARELY NOV. PEOPLE!). Anyway, bring in that strand and get $3.00 off when you purchase energy efficient LED lights. They use 80% less energy people! Save the planet! But, they do cost $5.97, but only $2.97 if you want to trade your old ones in! (and yes, I did that without a calculator, are you proud?)

My husband would flip over this next one, but we don't have one here. Though, he just may make me drive back to his home state to get these free items from Whataburger. Okay, don't kill me Whataburger fans...but really. Slap some mustard and take off the ketchup, and you got yourselves a Sonic burger. But, my husband SWEARS that they are the best burgers ever. He even goes nuts craving them sometimes. Oh well, anyway, every other day from Dec. 1-12, you can sign up for a coupon for a free yummy! That is a great deal!

Wow, is it just me or do I seem exceptionally verbose today? Maybe it is that pot of coffee and three soda's I have had already.

And this is a pretty big one. My friend actually got me interested in Nielsen Homescan about six months ago. I have been using it, but wanted to see if it really worked and if the points added up fast. Momma's, they do. And as a matter of fact, you can do ABSOLUTELY nothing (okay, you have to hold a little remote thing to the phone for 30 seconds once a week) and you still get points. That isn't the idea though. The idea is to find out how we are living. So, you sign up, they send you a little scanner. You scan your purchases, kind of like at the grocery store, and voila. You can also earn more points by answering surveys. You can either redeem these points for sweepstakes, or you can get some great gifts. These are some of the things that you can get.
