My little baby is having his first sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa today. Well, kind of, it is actually all the kids spending the night together, so it isn't just him, but he loves his cousins so it is just a bigger slumber party. Regardless, my thoughts are EVERYWHERE! I miss him. I miss the thunder in the house. I miss the silly dancing. I miss the "mommy mommy mommy can I can I can I??" I can't wait to see him again. So, basically you are getting...
a Random Tuesday because that is where I am at today!
We are trying to catch up on our DVR'd shows, but I must say, we are kind of striking out. Two of them have magically taped, yet haven't. One we watched and now it won't delete. Grrr. We used to have a Tivo. I loved my Tivo. Granted, to have Tivo (or at least that one, I don't know how it is anymore) you have to have DirectTv. I don't really remember anything wrong with DirectTv. It was just when we first moved here we HAD to have Comcast, so that is where we ended up. We have contemplated changing. We miss the BOOP DE DOOP of our Tivo. As a matter of fact, even now when we want the other person to fast forward, we will say "Boop de doop", which has become another way of saying "hey lazybones who isn't paying attention, fast forward would ya?". Is DirectTv the only one that does Tivo?
Here is issue number two. We live in a townhouse, and for some reason I am still unclear on, we would have to attach the dish to the side of our house. That is ugly. It is like a big mole with hair all over it that you just can't help but stare at. If you have opinions, share. But really, I am too lazy to change right now. Maybe
I miss my boy.
So, after my wonderful shopping trip this weekend to Toys R Us, what do I receive in the mail today? Oh yes my friends, a $5 coupon for LadyBug's first birthday. Whatever.
I SUCK at math. This is a teeny tiny secret you may not know about me. In fact, I had to go to Sylvan once a week for what seemed like FOREVER! But apparently now there are online tutors! Besides the fact that we were the family that did not have a computer until the 90210 actors hit their 30's-which happened to be my Senior year of High School, we would have had the dial up snail internet had we had it. So it never would have happened. But apparently now there are places like TutorVista.com This place is awesome! I would have loved it! Granted, I wouldn't get that hottie of a tutor like I had, but I guess maybe I would have learned more!
It looks like it goes from grades 3-12. Here is my thing though, shouldn't us as parents be able to help with the whole 3rd grade math thing? Well, I guess you could be like this girl I know. She is so disinterested in her kids schoolwork that she actually signs off on their paperwork saying they read when they didn't, just so she doesn't have to help. So I guess something like this is beneficial! Now get to high school, I am not going to lie, I won't be able to help. I will be calling TutorVista before my kids realize that I am stupid. I want them to think I am smarter than they are after all!
Have you noticed I am a little bitter? It has been a long day. Usually my Friday the 13th's are awesome. Today not so much. Too many issues in too short of time. And I miss my bug. I can't wait for some good snuggle time!

3 of you are the "cool kids":
I know! It's so hard letting them go. I remember trying to leave Mackenzie over night and she called wanting to come home...so if he makes it through the night then no worries:)
Hope you enjoy having some time to yourself. It's always great when grandparents host slumber parties. I remember what great memories those are.
I've always wanted a TiVo. We have a DVR through Dish Network and like it. It doesn't make any neat noises though but it does a good job in other areas.
We used to have a townhome and they never would have let us do anything to the structure, like attaching a dish. You're lucky, but yeah, that would be ugly. Could it be mounted on the roof instead?
