comments and blogs and macaroni, oh my!

Well Hello my fellow Friday Followers! I must say, I have been absolutely loving coming across new blogs. This blog world seems small when you stay in your clique, but then, I took a chance. I took I am Harriet's 1,000 Comments in March Challenge. Well, that meant at least 40 comments a day. All of a sudden I was OVERLY caught up in visiting my regular blogs. So I ventured. I took advantage of Friday Follow, and I found some wonderful new friends. It is like going from Middle School to High school when you are forced to get out of your comfort zone. You are forced to sit with a new crowd at lunch because your clique doesn't have the same lunch hour. And even if I may only leave one comment, I am reading more. I am learning that you all have so much to offer, so much to teach me. I look forward to meeting more of you this week!


With that being said...here is my "official" post for today.

First a housekeeping issue. I had gone away a bit from the frugal stuff because there were so many other posts to write about, but I am still looking for them. So, I just gave them their own page. If you want the freebies and fun stuff, just check up in the header. I also have a meme section, so if you want to add yours, just let me know and I will put it up there!
So, it is official. I have done it. I have finally put myself out there, believed in myself because my hubby believes in me, and finally made a "job" of sorts out of writing. Now I know that blogging is in sense a "job" in and of itself. And I know the same of the Examiner.com that I write for. But now I write, edit, AND publish my own local newsletter. I know you have seen glimpses around the blogosphere. Macaroni Kid. Become a Macaroni Kid Mom. Well, I thought it was crap. I thought it was a pyramid scheme. And then I researched. And then I emailed some questions. And then.....I emailed Macaroni Kid. And finally....I signed. And I started looking for events. And I started getting excited. And I got sucked in to the excitement. Notice that I did NOT say hype, I said excitement.

I first saw the Macaroni Kid on SupahMommy. For some reason that lady had me thinking. And wanting. And no kidding I even started to get paranoid that someone had already taken my town. I mean WORRIED that I would not be able to be MY town's Macaroni Kid Mom And then I saw Chief was on it. And said the same things. And guess what, now I am. And I LOVE it. I have not received one iota of an incentive YET (give me a few days, please, I have JUST started)....other than the love of writing. Other than the pride of publishing my own page other than the blog. Other than finding AWESOME events to take my kids to. And other than the excitement of finding advertisers, of which I have already made a list of, and looking forward to press kits that will be coming my way. Really, it is kind of like my own little business. Like the blog....but I write to get paid, I work to get paid, and I take just as much pride in what I do on there as I do on here.
