I love seafood. It is my absolute favorite. I have tried to pass my love on to my kids since I am WELL aware of the benefits that seafood provides to them, but so far all I can get them to enjoy is shrimp. Well, and crab and lobster if I tell them it is chicken. But really, I can't afford crab and lobster.
Any little push, any added help or benefit I can give to my kids-especially if it is absolutely pain-free on my part, is more than welcome in this house. While my kids love gummies, I have to watch them like hawks (especially my daughter who will move beds to reach her beloved gummies), and they don't like pills, so I am all about liquid goodness. So, I was excited when Mom Central to try out the NutraSea Kids by Ascenta.
From my overly-neurotic-first-time-mom internet searches, I already knew that research has shown that essential fatty acids (EFAs) can play an important role in your child’s development. Therefore I have always looked for these, whether it be in the baby formula, foods or whatever. I am very excited that now I can get this in a bottle in my fridge!
The NutraSea Kids is a liquid supplement made especially for children 2-13 years of age that provides your children with the omega-3 and vitamin D they need for their development. When I looked at the label, it seems that NutraSea Kids is filled with fish oil and Omega-3......good stuff for kiddos. It even passed the Ascenta Pure Check Program that guarantees that their products are independently tested and certified for quality, purity and label claims. I love that it is in liquid form, and I just fill my little medicine droppers with the teaspoon and squirt it in my kiddo's mouth. Well, I did. They aren't overly fond of the taste, so I have put it in a little smoothie for them and they didn't even notice.
The NutraSea Kids can be purchased at Vitamin Shoppe. You can also use the Ascenta store locator to find a location nearest to you that offers this great product!
Please note that if your children are allergic to seafood you should consult with your doctor before using this product!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of NutraSea Kids campaign and received NutraSea samples to facilitate my review. These are my honest opinions of the product. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate

3 of you are the "cool kids":
Good idea putting it in a smoothie!
That's interesting. I've never heard of that. Good review.
Have you tried it yet, it has the weirdest texture to it. The taste isn't bad at all, it is mainly the strange feeling of swallowing it.
