I have been woken up many ways in my life. My mom used to just gently say my name. My grandma used to say Rise and Shine, my husband whispers and pokes me. Then, of course, there is the alarm clock. But this weekend I was awakened in a whole new way.
My peaceful slumber was interrupted when one of my tightly closed eyelids was pushed open by a little tiny finger, and I see a green eye peeking in at me and saying "hi mommy!"
To each his own.

Eyelids are not for pulling at.

6 of you are the "cool kids":
I guess I'd prefer an eyelid pull to an announcement from my child that they just barfed. It's all in the perspective, isn't it? :0)
Oh man, that would not go over well with me!
Oh my goodness...I love that. Of course it was not me either but what a great memory and story to tell your grandchildren one day of what their parent did to you.
That was cute. One of mine use to like to come in and sit on my belly.
Too freakin cute! ;)
Oh how cute.... Josh when he was like 2-3 years old would get out of his toddler bed and then with his bear and binkie come stand at my bedside (you know, like CHUCKIE!) just STARING at me. Eventually I just sensed he was there and would pull him into bed with me to go back to sleep for an hour or two. That's not a fun way to be woken up either. I got to where (because of that) I'd sleep SO LIGHT thta I'd hear his footsteps on the berber carpet approaching the bed and I was like, "Yes, Josh?"
LOL
