So, to be honest, I don't know how many of my family members or friends read this blog. Other than my closest friend. But she will hear all this anyway as soon as I have a chance to tell her so that doesn't matter much.
Last week sucked. There are no two ways about it. It just freaking sucked. Monday was filled with what may have been a humorous accident of me dragging a trash bag out of my garage with my car, but it ended with a rude and harrassing note on my garage door. That was also the day I was reminded of how horrible my 16th birthday was as a new friend and I realized we shared a boyfriend in high school. Not at the same time, but he was an ass. Tuesday was filled with the dentist, a horrible visit, after which I went to the drivers license plate people only to find out that my license plate number was assigned to my car, as well as another's that had a hold on it. Nice. Wednesday I got in trouble at work. Thursday I got left out of a mom/daughter experience and my husband realized his vacation may not be able to happen. Friday was okay I suppose. Something did happen, but I think my mind managed to just block the crap out. Saturday was just busy, but I really thought it was going to end fine. Until Sunday. I thought it was the start of a new week, it was Easter, all was supposed to be good. But it wasn't.
You know on your car mirrors where it says "things in the mirror may be closer than they appear?" Well, if you think about it a bit, it is slightly poetic. Seriously. You can't hurt people. You can't just live your life one way, whether you feel bad about it or not. Just because you want to let something go, just because you want to forget or pretend that something never happened or you never uttered painful words......it doesn't mean that they go away for others. It doesn't mean that you didn't affect and possibly change someone's life, how they view the world, and how they view themselves. It is like saying that 9/11 is in the past so it didn't happen, it didn't affect people. Those terrorists didn't change people's lives forever. Life just doesn't work that way.
So please, remember when dealing with your loved ones especially, that images in the mirror are closer than they appear.

2 of you are the "cool kids":
You're so right. That stuff never, ever leaves us and can dramatically affect our forever.
I'm so sorry that you had a terrible week!
:( Oh Vic, that sounds like an ultra shitty week. :( No way around it just sounds like... I'd wanna break stuff. Hope you got a glass of wine and.. to punch someone. :) Ha ha!
